Kurt began his career as a tax attorney at Milbank, a leading international law firm based in New York City. He then built a highly successful tax resolution firm, but he was continually frustrated with the lack of effective software available to help tax professionals accomplish their work in a simple and elegant way. He set out on a mission to make taxing work simple. He is now the CEO and founder of Canopy, a cloud-based tax resolution and practice management software company that is replacing antiquated tax practice solutions with modern, simple ones. Kurt obtained his law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. He also obtained a master's and bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.
